There are currently 375 designers in this event! We know you all love to shop!! This is an amazing cause for an amazing young woman, Heather Crawford or Lexi Zelin in SL, with a lot yet to live for! She was recently diagnosed with 3rd stage Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. You can read her whole story on her GoFundMe page of the Blog set up. There is something for everyone at the Lexi Project! It’s amazing seeing so many designers pull together like this!! ♥♥
The Lexi Project is a collaborative project organised by Toxxic Rhiannyr & Heather Smithson to give a fellow SL creator a hand while coping with cancer and treatment. Info about Lexi Zelin can be found here ~ Lexi Zelin’s Cancer Treatment Fund on her gofundme page and info about the project is here ~ The Lexi Project.
All items at the fundraiser are set to donate 100% to Lexi. For the occasion I have out special editions of three of my favourite designs.
With 346 participating shops there is something for everyone
Lexi Zelin, owner of AngelRed Couture, has recently had the heartbreaking diagnosis of Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is struggling to meet the costs of medical bills and other expenses as she battles for her health. I haven’t yet had the pleasure of knowing Lexi personally, but I want to add to the voices of love around her with my warmest hugs and very best wishes for recovery.
Toxxic Rhiannyr & Heather Smithson have worked breathtakingly hard to organise an outstanding fundraiser where nearly 350 designers have gathered together to offer some amazing exclusive designs in the hopes of easing Lexi’s financial worries at least a little. I’ve said before that seeing the Second Life community pull together to help someone is one of the most beautiful and inspiring things I’ve witnessed in my years as a resident and seeing so many people come together has been a shining example of how much love there is in all our worlds.
With so much to choose from, I’m sure you’ll find something at The Lexi Project you’ll want to bring home and 100% of all those sales will go directly to Lexi. If you prefer to donate directly, there are donation kiosk available at the fundraiser and in many stores on the grid, there are also links for more information and for Lexi’s gofundme page at the bottom of this post.
For my small part I have released an exclusive version of my owl set that will only be available at this amazing fundraiser; after it finishes it will be retired never to be sold/given away again.
Find ‘Lexi’ owl and a whole wealth of other designs at The Lexi Project:
“I can promise helping a fellow Avatar is cool and it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. I can also promise that helping a fellow human being beat insurmountable odds will make you feel like a superhero.”
(and you should totally go and read the rest of the post and see the awesomeness she has for you at the fundraiser yourselves!)
I am happy that I am able to contribute some new designs to be exclusively available at The Lexi Project which runs from 26 July until 9 August. You will find the ads for the Chantal Dress and Shoes further down this blog post. Firstly, I feel it is important for me to quote directly the Press Release concerning The Lexi Project, as it explains the reasons for this event much more eloquently than I am able. Please, please go along and make sure that you support this event!
The Lexi Project, a collaborative fund raiser event founded by Toxxic Rhiannyr & Heather Smithson, created to bring SecondLife brands together in hopes to raise money for one of our own, Lexi Zelin / AngelRed Couture. As many have probably by now heard, Lexi has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is in desperate need of funds to assist in paying her medical bills / expenses as she is unable to work. Lexi is only 28 years old, mother of one beautiful little girl and plays an important role within SecondLife by creating high quality, full permission mesh apparel, paving the way for many people in the virtual world to have the freedom of opening a store.
The Lexi Project has grown to approximately 350 supporting brands, ranging in a vast number of fields from apparel, decor, full permission, poses, skin, hair and so much more will be found at this event and all on one region. We have received a HUGE response from the grid, many offering helping hands, services and showing nothing but pure support to Lexi and we want everyone to know, it is all appreciated.
The Lexi Project is scheduled to open its doors Sunday, July 26th @ midnight slt. Each brand participating will have a minimum of 1-2 new items, 100% of the proceeds from sales go directly to an event account, opened by Lexi Zelin.
If you are interested in how to donate, there are many options available to you. Lexi has started a Gofundme Account page, she is accepting direct Linden donations to her main account and has also made a donation kiosk that can be rezzed inworld. To obtain the donation kiosk, you can join the AngelRed Couture Group and find a copy inside Group Notices. Donation kiosks will also be available to accept monies at the Lexi Project.

We thank you all for your support & speedy actions to this situation as all this information has developed rapidly over the course of the last week. Lexi is over the top appreciative to all that is going on around her, but is also very exhausted as she has been through several surgeries already and just received a port in her chest prepping her for chemo in the coming weeks. We do ask that you please respect her time online, if you see her, respect her privacy so she is able to rest with ease and not be bombarded by all that is happening, it is very overwhelming for her, as she did not expect this large of a response.
Thanks again so much from the bottom of our hearts, if you wish to share this blog or information it is welcomed and encouraged as we move forward to our opening day. Many people have inquired about what they can do to help aside from donations and we ask that you help keep the marketing drive alive on all social media outlets, inworld groups, popular blogs and so forth. The more people we can reach, the more we can bring in for Lexi & her family.
