Fashion For Life opened today, and if you haven’t been over yet, it’s awesome!

I was so nervous then so excited! I was having a bittersweet moment knowing my friend wouldn’t see this, but then something happened that touched me so deeply.

The sponsor of Hanging Gardens of Babylon is Tres Beau. Today I found out that she is the designer of my friend Carrie’s wedding dress. Carrie’s wedding day was so very special to her and to us because if you read my blog, you know a month later she passed away from cancer. Well, I decided today, to send the designer from Tres Beau a thank you note for sponsoring the sim and also being such a special part of Carrie’s day. I don’t know about you, but I believe in signs. My entire participation in Fashion for Life, from the application to the opening day now, has been one big sign for me. Anyhow, the designer contacted me (I was thrilled!) and we chit-chatted a little bit. She’s so nice. Later on, she was on the air with BOSL Radio and gave me and Carrie a shout out. Fashion for Life is almost here! It opens at Midnight on March 9th.

At the jazzitude location, there are 8 items where 100% will be donated to Relay for Life… 4 of them are brand new and not available at the store… 2 of them will never be available again. The other 4 is all the Carrie outfits.

You can donate to the kiosk in the store and receive a free gift… even $1L will help and you’ll get the gift. It’s a mesh t-shirt, jeans and sneakers I made that are not for sale yet in Jazzitude. There’s one for men and one for women (boxed together).

The gacha machines are all centrally located in one spot at International plaza.

Hey everyone,

We are getting closer to the Fashion for Life event on March 9th! This is my first major and large event I’ve ever participated in. My stress level is somewhat high, because I want this all to be perfect… yah, yah, my friend Cherri has been calling me a Virgo. LOL… I’m also very excited to be a participant and to be helping, in some small way, a great cause.

If you don’t know about this, it’s a week-long event over 7 Sims, featuring many awesome designers. There will be fashion shows, parties, and of course… SHOPPING! Yay! Each store will have at least 3 exclusives (during the event you will only be able to buy it at Fashion for Life) and previously unreleased items for sale for the event, with 100% of the profits from their three items going to Relay For Life/American Cancer Society. Even though it’s an American based charity, they are well-known for being more world wide, so don’t let the name fool you! Start saving your lindens because there are going to be some awesome things for sale and all the money goes to a fantastic charity. I don’t think there is one of us that has not been touched by cancer, either ourselves or our friends and family.» More reading…

2Fer Sales Event starts Tuesday, February 5th and I’m happy to be a participating store. You get 2 days to shop and you get two items boxed up together for only $100L! That’s a huge savings for most! I had a little fun boxing my items up together and decided to create themes. It’s February! I have a new group gift out in the store and a new release as part of the Valentine’s Day Cart Sale. This cart sale is great, lots of bargains… every cart must have at least one $L10 item, one $L50 Item and one Valentines Day Item. I’ve decided to have my Valentine’s Day item at the cart and not at the store. I might list it on the Marketplace, haven’t decided yet (but it will be more than the asking price at the cart for sure).

First things first… February group gift. You get two items (boxed individually)  that are going to be eventual additions to the separates line “custom jazzitude” soon. First one is the Candy Mini-Tops Two-Pack in Pink Skulls and Solid Pink. The shirts come with optional sculpty sleeves to give it that cute and sexy look. The second part of the gift is Celia 2 Mesh Mini Skirts in Pink Plaid and Solid Pink. The mini skirts come in 5 sizes each and come with glitch pants (the alpha does not make you invisible underneath, which I kind of like but at the same time, I felt like it needed something to cover your bits!) and a plaid thong.» More reading…

I have 2 new releases today: Wendy in Pink & Black and Indigo and Black. They are similar to this month’s group gift but with different color top and black pants with color leopard print belt and color leopard print stilettos. The pants are 100% mesh. The rest of the outfit is either system clothing or prim parts. The shirt is finished under the high-waist pants, making this a very versatile outfit. The shirt comes with 3 different turtlenecks: Plain, Chain and Cameo.

I’m getting excited, and nervous, for March. On March 9th begins the “Fashion for Life” … a Second Life Relay for Life event. The event lasts for a week, is over 7 sims, and it’s all to raise money for the American Cancer Society.» More reading…

I have 3 new releases. They are the “Vera” in Red, Blue and Black. This is the same dress as I have for the Glitz, Glamor and Sparkle Hunt but in other colors. The pink will not be available for sale until after the hunt (February 5th). For now, you have to find it to have it

The mermaid dress is 100% rigged mesh and comes in 4 sizes. I’ve also included a notecard with a BUNCH of different alpha textures, so hopefully one will fit your shape perfect. One of the alphas was actually created by a customer to fit her shape nicely and she was nice enough to share with all of you. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I have the BEST customers in all of Second Life… you guys rock!

The dress is paired with sculpty sleeves, sculpty peep-toe pumps, some tintable gloves (they are dyed to match in the box, but you can change it) and jewelry. The “diamonds” on the jewelry (and there are a couple on the ankle strap of the shoes) are non-rigged mesh, so they size just like sculpted prims but are really pretty.

The gift from :jazzitude: is Vera in Pink. The inspiration behind this was Marilyn Monroe, without being a copy or making it a costume. I think I accomplished what I wanted with this outfit!  This dress will be released in other colors soon, but for now, this new release (and in this color) is only available through the hunt running until February 5th.

You get a full rigged mesh mermaid dress in 4 sizes. The dress is completed with tintable gloves, sculpty sleeves, flexi shoulder stole and peep-toe pumps that has diamonds on the bow ankle tie (with color HUD for skin and nails). You also get jewelry of course: Diamond earrings, 3-row diamond choker, 3-row diamond bracelet and a diamond bow bracelet. The diamonds are non-rigged mesh.

I have another post coming tomorrow at some point about the “Our Favorite Things” Sales event (nothing over 50L) also starting January 15th, and runs through the end of the month.

Happy New Year.

My New Year was spent fighting a light flu… what’s up with that? I had a flu shot. Pfft. Anyhow, I’m on the mend, not 100% but I managed to get the group gift out today.

This is an outfit I’ve wanted to make for some time now… a sexy open front and open back lace/crochet top with wide leg pants. The group gift is in Winter White, but expect more colors soon. But I like to use my jazzitude group members as my test subjects first! Please feel free to give feedback and if you find any problems, let me know.

It includes all the prim parts with two versions of the turtleneck and the leopard print stiletto’s. I just realized, there should be something there that says this is partial mesh! The pants are the only part that is mesh. The rest is either sculpty or system clothing. The top is finished so you can wear it with other things you may have in your virtual wardrobe besides these pants.
