Miracle! I managed to get out the group gift on time for this month. It’s an Art Deco clock that you can alter in size to fit any fireplace mantle or dressing table and it should go with last month’s dressing table set. Really enjoy the styling of this period of history, the 1930s, where Egyptian things were all the rage and people weren’t afraid to mix the old and the new into really stylish ornaments and jewelry.
Just started to put GlamDammit Jewelry onto Marketplace, having thoroughly scrutinized Direct Delivery. This turns out to be much easier to control than the previous system (plus permissions can be double checked back to Inventory), it’s just the mere idea that it is not which is holding us back! It’s fine if you’re starting up a new store but I’d imagine that it’d be a lot more trouble if you were migrating the items over from an established store, like our GlamDammit Fashion one. I’ll leave that one to Lexi should Direct Delivery become the rule as I’m sure he’ll be able to fit it in amongst the myriad of other things he deals with *laughs*

Group Gift for September and out this Friday (have your group tag on when you access the vendor) is an Art Deco style silver and mother of pearl perfume tray with seven sparkling glass perfume bottles. 16 prims if you want the lot adorning your dressing table! The set is soft-linked in this arrangement but once rezzed you can add or take away the perfume bottles as you wish. Next month I promise to do a shaving tray for the gents!
We’ve joined the Fifty5 Thursday shopper’s group and will try and make jewelry/clothing each week for a bargain price. Sale starts at 7am SLT and goes on for 24 hrs, August 30th.
This week we’ve got a beautiful emerald and antique diamond Vintage dress ring, based on the top jewelry of that era, 1930s. Medium to High prim for all those diamonds! Copy with a resizer which also has a delete option.
For the gents, a Steampunk-ish Robo necklace which tells SL time. This is a modify/transfer version for gifting or if the ladies also like this one it can be altered around the neck area to fit. Otherwise, it will fit an average sized gent.
Just keeping folks up-to-date with all the fab stuff for both ladies and gents! <3 Moz
1. The Roxxy set – copy with resizer & delete
This gorgeous 5-piece set was inspired by the lovely Roxxy Tylman who wanted an original set for the Miss Danielle contest. In black velvet with bright white diamond flowers, beaded flowers and little velvet rose combinations. Not too bad on the prims front – although it looks much more than it actually is. There’s little ribbon bows on the necklace and the band is flat ribbon that sits snug against the skin. On the bracelet I’ve included some thin silver twirls that make it look that little bit different. All these pieces would make great mix n match jewelry and suit evening gowns and cocktail dresses.
The Roxxy set is also offered in white velvet and would look amazing as an evening set or even wedding set.
2. True Blue – copy with resizer & delete
A beautiful 3 piece set that explores the depth of ocean blue sapphires surrounded by vintage diamonds. In vintage gold with unusual twist links. The necklace would look good with deep slash fronted gowns and to draw attention to a stunning décolletage.» More reading…
Inviting everyone to our store opening! It’s on Saturday, 31st March 2012, from 2pm SLT to 4pm SLT. You’re welcome to drop in anytime, we appreciate that other events are on and that it’s a popular date, especially with those of you in the modeling profession but it would be great to see you, even for 10 minutes.
We decided to do a 70s theme so if you’re game, come dressed for the disco. Charity promised to dig out his white polyester suit from the depths of his wardrobe so you can’t miss that! Your taxi awaits.
A quick update about the Fashion for Life week. You did us proud! With your help we raised a total of 8207 lindens from the FFL vendors, which is pretty darn fine for a new store. We also learned a lot about what you like to buy – for instance we’ll be having Gacha machines instore and items of jewelry that can be personalised. Proactive is good!
The store is now open to group members in particular and anyone who has the landmark (slurl can be obtained by clicking on the right column GlamDammit icon). We are adding items as we make them and no, we haven’t forgotten about the opening party. It will happen as soon as our RLs slow down a bit. Glamtastic!
